Terms of Service

By accessing or using zlabz.io (the "Service") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

zlabz.io is a browser-based video editor with multiple editor modes for creating text match cuts, cinematic newspaper and book layouts, web frame animations, mixed-media paper animations, and more. Video rendering happens locally in your browser using WebCodecs and FFmpeg WASM.

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for changes that materially affect paid subscribers.

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• One person or legal entity per account unless we explicitly allow otherwise.
• Provide accurate information. We may suspend accounts that appear to use stolen or fraudulent identities.

You agree not to use zlabz.io to:

• Create content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
• Generate or distribute hateful, harassing, defamatory, or illegal content.
• Produce sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual sexual imagery.
• Impersonate another person or attempt to deceive users (including non-consensual deepfakes of real people).
• Attack, scrape, reverse engineer, or otherwise degrade the Service.
• Bypass rate limits, credit systems, admin controls, or security measures.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section without prior notice.

You retain all ownership of the videos, images, text, and exports you create with zlabz.io. Because rendering happens locally, we do not store your exports or source assets.

Project metadata you explicitly save is stored in our database. By saving a project you grant us a limited licence to process and display that metadata back to you — strictly for operating the Service.

You are responsible for making sure you have rights to any imported media (video, image, audio). zlabz.io is not a source of stock media.

• The free tier includes a daily export credit allowance that resets at midnight UTC.
• Pro and Lifetime plans unlock the Pro editor modes, higher daily limits, and 4K export. Plan details are on the pricing page.
• Recurring subscriptions are processed by Dodo Payments and auto-renew until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the customer portal linked in your account menu.
• Refunds: if you are unhappy within the first 7 days of a new subscription, contact support and we will issue a full refund. After 7 days, cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current period.
• We may adjust pricing. Active subscribers keep their current rate for the remainder of the paid period; the new rate applies on renewal.

The zlabz.io mark, wordmark, editor interface, and proprietary rendering pipeline are owned by us. You may not copy, clone, or resell the Service or its source code. Open source dependencies remain under their respective licences.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or bug-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, zlabz.io and its team shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.

You can delete your account at any time from settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your saved projects and account data are removed; billing records may be retained for tax compliance.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the entity operating zlabz.io. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page and via email for account holders. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
