Our Story
zlabz.io was born in when we noticed content creators spending hours in complex video editors just to create simple text match cut transitions. These cinematic effects — where text appears synchronized with scene changes — are powerful for storytelling, but the tools to make them were either expensive, slow, or required professional editing skills.
We built zlabz.io as a browser-based alternative that runs entirely on the client side. No software to install, no files uploaded to servers, no render queues. Using technologies like HTML5 Canvas, WebCodecs, and FFmpeg WASM, we created an editor that renders animations in real time and exports video locally in your browser.
What started as a single text match cut mode has grown into a platform with multiple distinct editor modes — from vintage newspaper layouts and cinematic book pages to YouTube word finding and Google Search animations. We support 6 languages and serve creators worldwide.
