The method
Every paper mode runs the same physics: a torn, crumpled sheet unfolds on screen to reveal what was hidden underneath. In Cut-Out Studio that's a subject you clicked; in Paper Text that's a letter you typed. Each tile has its own tear pattern, paper grain, and shutter-stop wobble.
No plug-ins, no After Effects, no render queue. Drop an image or type a line, tune the shadow + edge settings, export an MP4 or PNG. Works offline once the page loads — the render happens on your own machine via WebCodecs.

No. Both modes run in your browser. The AI segmenter, paper physics, and MP4 encoder all happen locally via WebAssembly and WebCodecs — no server render queue, no watermarks.
Cut-Out accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, and SVG (SVGs skip segmentation and use the whole artwork). Paper Text accepts any text, including newlines and spaces. Both export as MP4 or PNG.
Up to 4K (2160p) with aspect ratios 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, and 4:5. You can also add a custom lead-in and lead-out hold in seconds, so the video has a clean pre-roll before the unfold starts.
