Popbadge
Follow popups that actually animate
Pick a popup, put your own name, photo and numbers on it, and export it as a transparent overlay: follow cards for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitch, a counter that counts up, a subscribe button with a ringing bell, a LIVE badge, a goal bar, iOS-style notifications and floating call-to-action pills.

The reel
Every frame is a real export
This clip was rendered by the same painter that renders your download, popup for popup.

The animation ships
The follow toggle, the count-up, the bell ring and the goal fill are painted into every frame of the export at full resolution, not screenshotted off a page.
Real transparency
The WebM export carries a true alpha channel, entirely in your browser. Drop it over any footage in CapCut, Premiere or DaVinci and the checkerboard is gone.
Yours, not a template's
Your handle, your photo or a stock silhouette, your subscriber count, your accent colour, light or dark, in any script including right to left.
What is Popbadge?
Popbadge is a free overlay maker for creators. It builds the little pieces of interface that videos use to ask for the follow: platform follow cards, subscriber counters, subscribe buttons, LIVE badges, goal bars, notification banners and call-to-action pills. Fifty-two presets across four groups, each editable down to the labels on the button, and every word editable directly on the popup.
Everything renders on a canvas in your browser. A still comes out as a tight transparent PNG. An animated popup comes out as a WebM with real alpha or an MP4 on green, with the micro-animation rendered into every frame. Nothing is uploaded anywhere, including your photo.
Four steps to an overlay
From preset to file in under a minute.
1. Pick a popup
Fifty-two presets across follow cards, subscriber counters, notifications and calls to action. Each tile in the picker is painted live with your own words.
2. Make it yours
Type your name and handle, set the counter, pick an accent, flip it dark. Upload a photo for the avatar or keep a stock silhouette. It never leaves your browser.
3. Animate it
The micro-loop is on by default: the button toggles, the counter counts, the bell rings. Add one of eleven entrances and exits and set how long it holds.
4. Export it
A tight transparent PNG for thumbnails and posts, a transparent WebM for editing timelines, or a green-screen MP4 for apps that cannot read alpha.
Honest comparison
Against typical popup makers
Where this tool stands next to overlay generators and template packs, on the axes that matter.
| Feature | zlabz | Typical popup makers |
|---|---|---|
| Animation in the export | Toggle, count-up and bell ring rendered into every frame at the output resolution | Animation preview on the page; exports are stills, or capture the page at a low frame rate |
| Transparent video | Alpha WebM encoded entirely in the browser | Server-side conversion, a paid tier, or no alpha at all |
| Resolution | PNG and video up to 4K, painted at output size | 2K and 4K behind a paywall; animated content capped lower |
| Scripts and direction | Any Google font, 32 locales, right-to-left mirrored correctly | One Latin face |
| Your photo | Stays in your browser; stored locally, never uploaded | Uploaded to their servers, or no photo slot |
| Price | All twelve presets and the animation free; export costs one credit | Animation, quality tiers and formats gated behind a subscription |
Named alternatives
PopLab (javii.tools)
The closest single-purpose tool and a polished one. Its animated exports re-photograph the page, so the micro-animations arrive at a reduced rate and size, and animation, 2K and 4K sit behind Premium.
CapCut sticker overlay
Fine for a quick text sticker inside your edit, but the platform follow cards, counters and badges have to be faked from scratch each time.
After Effects alert templates
The most control if you own After Effects and the template. You pay per pack, render on your machine, and edit in a timeline rather than a form.
Streamlabs / OBS alert widgets
Live alerts for streams, not files: they react to real events in OBS, but you cannot export the popup as a clip for an edited video.

What people make with it
The follow ask, in every shape a feed expects.
- Subscribe reminders in videos
- Drop the YouTube subscribe card over the intro with the toggle animating, instead of a static screenshot from someone else's channel.
- Follow CTAs for Reels and TikTok
- The platform follow card with your own handle, popping in on the beat and gone a second later.
- Stream scenes
- A LIVE badge with a watching count, or a subscriber goal bar that fills, exported once and reused across scenes.
- Milestone posts
- The counter counting up to your new number, on transparent, ready to sit over any celebration clip.
- Notification skits
- An iOS-style banner with your name and any message, for the classic "look what just happened" cut.
- Channel branding
- A floating pill or glass button with your own words and colour, matched to your thumbnails.
Questions, answered
Is Popbadge free?+
Yes. All twelve presets, the animation, the entrances and dark mode are free to use and preview. Exporting a file costs one credit, and free accounts get credits daily.
Does the animation actually export, or just the still?+
It exports. The follow toggle, the count-up, the bell ring, the LIVE pulse and the goal fill are rendered into every frame of the WebM or MP4 by the same painter that draws the preview, at the resolution you export at.
How do I get a transparent overlay into my editor?+
Export WebM. It carries a real alpha channel that CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut understand. If your app cannot read alpha, export the MP4 on green and key it out.
Can I use my own photo as the avatar?+
Yes. The photo is stored in your browser and drawn onto the canvas locally. It is never uploaded to a server, and it survives a reload.
Which platforms do the follow cards cover?+
Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitch follow cards, plus platform-neutral counters, badges, notifications and buttons. Every label on them is editable, so the same card works for any platform if you change the words.
Does it work in my language?+
Yes. The copy on the popup can be set in any script, right-to-left included, and the layout mirrors correctly. You can also pick any Google font that covers your script.
