Glass refraction effect
Turn any clip into liquid glass
Drop a video or photo and a real WebGL shader refracts it through fluted glass, radial lens rings or block glitch, with live shadows and highlights. Export a flawless MP4 with the original audio, free.
What is the glassify effect?
Glassify refracts your image or video the way real reeded, fluted or textured glass would: the picture bends, repeats and catches light along each ridge. It is the same look designers fake by hand in Photoshop with displacement maps, running live in your browser.
Instead of a static filter, Glassify is a shader with six effects and full control over flute density, angle, distortion shape, radial rings, shadows and highlights, so the same clip can look like frosted glass, a camera lens or a broken signal.
How it works
From clip to glass in four steps
Drop a video or photo
Upload any MP4 or image, or start on the built-in demo. Everything runs locally in your browser, nothing is uploaded to a server.

Pick an effect
Choose Radial glass rings, fluted Stripe, Organic or Ripple glass, or Glitch. Each maps to a real refraction shader, not a preset overlay.
Shape the glass
Dial in flute density, angle, distortion, radius, rotation, blur, and live shadows and highlights until the glass looks exactly right.
Export a clean MP4
Render every frame offline through the same shader and download a crisp MP4 with your original audio. No watermark on paid plans.
Why zlabz
Real export, not a screen recording
Most browser glass tools capture your screen in real time, so the export drops frames and softens. Glassify renders every frame offline at full quality.
Glassify alternatives
Artkit Glassify
The original browser glass tool. Image only, and its export is a realtime capture that softens the result. Glassify adds video, audio and offline rendering.
Photoshop Glass Filter
Design-app glass and displacement filters give great control but need a desktop license and manual displacement maps. Glassify does it live in the browser, free.
After Effects Refraction
After Effects with a refraction or displacement plugin is the pro route. Powerful but slow to set up. Glassify covers the common looks in one click.
Glass Photo Filter Apps
Generic photo filter apps offer a frosted-glass sticker but no real refraction or video support. Glassify is a true shader.

What creators make with it
One shader, many looks.
Music video overlays
Refract a performance clip through fluted glass for a dreamy, tactile transition between shots.
Title reveals
Push text or a logo behind radial glass rings so it warps into focus as the rings rotate.
Album and cover art
Turn a single photo into a rich, reeded-glass still with real shadows and highlights.
Story transitions
Use the ripple and organic glass shapes as a wipe between two vertical clips.
Glitch moments
Drop into the block-glitch effect for a broken-signal beat that snaps back to clean.
Product shots
Slide a product behind angled glass flutes for a premium storefront look.
Glassify questions, answered
Is Glassify free?
Yes. You can open every effect and preview on any clip for free. Exporting requires a free sign-in, and paid plans remove the watermark.
Does it work on video, or only images?
Both. Drop an MP4 and the glass refracts every frame with your audio kept, or use a single photo for a still.
Where is my footage processed?
Entirely in your browser with WebGL2. Your video is never uploaded to a server.
Why does my export look sharper than other glass tools?
Because Glassify renders each frame offline through the shader instead of screen-recording the preview, so there are no dropped frames and no softening.
What are the six effects?
None, Radial glass rings, Glitch, and three fluted-glass shapes: Stripe, Organic and Ripple. Each has its own controls for distortion, light and radius.
What do I need to run it?
A modern browser with WebGL2, such as Chrome or Edge. No install, no plugins.
